I took this course not for credit but for the knowledge. Concurrently, I cannot review my cumulative exam which is irritating because I solely took this course in order to review what I don't know but now I am barred from seeing such valuable information.

Class is okay but very hard, getting the book is extremely important

The book that was purchased was very good and thorough. Quizzes and exams were very fair and well done. However, the Powerpoints were juvenile and completely unhelpful and useless for the course. Additionally in the review questions some of the samples questions/definitions were totally mismatched. So mismatched that it is not possible I feel this way because I simply got it wrong. A word would be matched with the definition of another word that was totally unrelated. For example mitosis was continually mismatched with the definition for cell metabolism. I stopped using the online Powerpoints and review questions after about the 4th chapter and still did perfectly well in the course.

Finished this course pretty fast considering i am taking other college courses as well as working full time only took me 3 weeks! Material was pretty basic for anatomy and physiology! I would recommend this course if your college will accept it.

I found that the slides were not informative and did not correlate well with the course. Everything you need comes from the book, not the slides. In my opinion you can completely disregard the slides and read the book. After the second lesson I did not look at the slides and took all my information and direction from the book.

Very good class! I have taken A&P before in college, but did not transfer in, would recommend the book! Lots of information to cover, but can be done!

This text is written for the two semester anatomy & physiology course. The writing is comprehensive, providing the depth necessary for those courses not requiring prerequisites, and yet, is presented with such clarity that it nicely balances the thorough coverage. Clear descriptions and exceptional illustrations combine to help students develop a firm understanding of the concepts of anatomy and physiology and to teach them how to use that information. Great care has been taken to select important concepts and to perfectly describe the anatomy of cells, organs, and organ systems. The plan that has been followed for ten editions of this popular text is to combine clear and accurate descriptions of anatomy with precise explanations of how structures function and examples of how they work together to maintain life. To emphasize the concepts of anatomy and physiology, the authors provide explanations of how the systems respond to aging, changes in physical activity, and disease, with a special focus on homeostasis and the regulatory mechanisms that maintain it. This text has more clinical content than any other A & P book on the market.
