New College Course Profile: Introduction to Business

StraighterLine introduced some terrific new courses. Today, we’d like to tell you more about one of them.

It is the new Introduction to Business Course.

If you are thinking about majoring in business, this course could be a great choice for you. In only a few short weeks of concentrated study, you will learn everything you need to make a good decision about whether a career in business is right for you.

Here are some course highlights . . .

• Concepts, principles, and operations of the private enterprise system are identified and explored.
• Students compare and contrast sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations, and they learn the advantages and disadvantages of each business structure.
• Bookkeeping, accounting, human resource management, financial management, and other business functions are introduced and explored in detail.
• This college course also discusses marketing, business ethics and other topics.
