Calling All Army Brats

Are you part of a military family? If so, you are part of a proud tradition of service to our country. Plus, you have the honor of following in the footsteps of a parent who is devoting his or her work to serving America.

The purpose of this post is both to thank you and your family, and to make you aware that online education can play an important role in your pursuit of higher learning and a college degree. Online college courses are  perfect for military personnel and their families, for some reasons that you might not have considered:

  • If your family moves, you don’t have to interrupt your education. Your classroom goes wherever there is a computer.
  • Time zones don’t prevent you from attending a college that’s on American soil. Even if your family is living in a time zone that is distant from the United States, you can log on and pursue your coursework anyway.
  • You can start college early, for minimal cost, whenever you like. Just be sure to seek out institutions that offer solid online courses at reasonable cost.
  • You can continue your education easily when you or your family enters civilian life again. There’s no need to start from Point A and apply to colleges all over again. Your momentum is already established.

Those are only a few of the reasons why a growing number of military personnel and veterans are making virtual classrooms their preferred choice for education.

And by the way, if your parents aren’t aware of the opportunities that distance learning courses offer, it might be a good idea to show them this post and let them know that computers are breaking down the barriers to higher education everywhere.
