English Composition II engages you in argumentation and research studies. Learn to identify, critically read, analyze and evaluate, and write arguments using logical and rhetorical techniques.
- Develop effective claim-driven arguments supported by logical reasoning, credible evidence, and appropriate rhetorical strategies
- Apply research methodologies to locate, evaluate, and integrate scholarly sources into academic writing
- Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to develop informed perspectives on complex issues
- Design and execute structured outlines that effectively organize ideas and evidence in support of argumentative claims
- Create properly formatted academic documents following MLA documentation standards for in-text citations and Works Cited pages
- Evaluate source credibility and relevance to develop annotated bibliographies that support research goals
