For Immediate Release BALTIMORE, MD – StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com) announced today that La Salle University’s College of Professional and Continuing Studies(www.lasalle.edu/cpcs) in Philadelphia, Pa., has joined StraighterLine’s partner college network. StraighterLine partner colleges are regionally accredited institutions that award post-secondary credit upon transfer for successfully completing its online college courses. La Salle University was established in 1863 through the legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the patron saint of teachers, and the De La Salle Christian Brothers teaching order.  La Salle is an educational community shaped by traditional Catholic and Lasallian values. Through this partnership, students who successfully complete StraighterLine courses may transfer their courses for full credit when they enroll in one of La Salle’s College of Professional and Continuing Studies’ degree programs, and they can use these transfer credits toward the completion of their bachelor’s degree. Students can take freshman and introductory-level classes through StraighterLine and save thousands of dollars earning their college degree. With StraighterLine, students pay only $99 per month plus $39 per course started and can move as quickly or slowly through the material as they like. In addition, now High School students can take StraighterLine courses as an AP Test Prep alternative or as dual credit program. StraighterLine has received approval for the following online college classes to be listed as AP courses: Economics I: Macroeconomics, Economics II: Microeconomics, English Composition, and General Calculus I. StraighterLine courses have been evaluated and recommended by the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) and have met or exceeded the Distance Education and Training Council’s standards for online course quality. A number of StraighterLine courses have also been reviewed and authorized by the College Board as AP Program courses. Currently, StraighterLine offers 15 entry-level college courses online, including College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Business Writing, Introduction to Biology for non-majors, Introduction to Biology for non-majors with a lab, General Chemistry 1, General Chemistry 1 with a lab, English Composition I, English Composition II, Accounting I, Accounting II, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Statistics, and two developmental courses, with more to be offered soon. StraighterLine partner colleges and universities include the following institutions:
