WASHINGTON D.C. - Straighterline (www.straighterline.com), a company that provides a highly-affordable, better-supported and more flexible solution for students needing general education college courses, has announced that the American Council on Education's (ACE) Credit Recommendation Service recommends all nine of Straighterline's courses for college credit. Straighterline's ACE approved courses are:

The ACE Credit system is a voluntary system that is used by thousands of colleges to determine whether a student can receive credit for coursework taken from unaccredited providers. After successfully passing a Straighterline courses, a student must create an ACE account and have their Straighterline transcript forwarded to their school of choice, so long as that school adheres to ACE recommendations. Even if a desired school does not adhere to ACE recommendations, a student may choose to expedite enrollment and save on fees by enrolling at one of Straighterline's partner colleges.
According to Burck Smith, Straighterline's CEO and founder, "With tuition rising and students' income and savings dwindling, Straighterline's online courses let students save thousands of dollars on required courses and their first year of college."
Straighterline provides students with a new online option for obtaining required college credits from accredited colleges and universities. Straighterline students may choose to receive credit from Straighterline's regionally accredited partner colleges or use the ACE Credit process. Student-earned credits may also be transferable to non-partner colleges. There are no set due dates for Straighterline courses. Students may move at their own pace. Students may start courses almost immediately after enrolling. Straighterline offers two remarkable pricing programs; individual courses cost only $399, include 10 hours of one-on-one instructional support, and allow up to six months of access; and the Straighterline for $99 program: a $99 per month subscription plus $39 per new course started includes 10 total hours of one-on-one instructional support.
