In honor of Mother’s Day the new Scholarship is designed to help working moms who are going back to school defray some of the costs of their education by starting their degree with online college classes. To apply for the scholarship moms or their family members should submit an essay of at least 200 words telling StraighterLine what going back to school will mean for them and their family. The essay submission must also include a separate description of the working mom’s job of at least 20 words. And being a full-time mom counts as a job! The mom whose essay is selected will receive a FREE “Freshman Year for $999” program, consisting of up to 10 StraighterLine courses. 3 runners up will get free enrollment for 1 month plus 1 free course. Who can apply

Applicants must be a working mom or a member of her family: spouse, children, parents. Any applicant is encouraged to tell StraighterLine why their mom/wife/daughter wants to go back to school, and what it would mean to their family.
