Introduction to Biology
Face it: if you wanted a hardcore science course, you’d be majoring in it. That’s why we offer Introductory Biology. It’s intended to satisfy the science requirement for students who aren’t pursuing a degree in science.
Not that you won’t learn a batch of biology, because you will. This course will teach you about cell structure and function, bioenergetics, DNA structure and function, cell reproduction, taxonomy, evolution and ecology. You will gain an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the major organ systems, from the circulatory system to the nervous system and everything in between. But you will study it from a perspective that acknowledges that your primary interests lie outside of the laboratory.
