General Physics I is a required course for many science degrees, including Chemistry, Seismology, Astronomy, Oceanography, and of course Physics degrees of all kinds, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s frequently required for courses of study and careers ranging from engineering to teaching, aeronautics, the Space program, biology and medical science.
In General Physics I, you will study matter and energy, their properties and the relation between them. Your journey begins with Newtonian mechanics including: kinematics, the laws of motion, work and energy, systems of particles, momentum, circular motion, oscillations, and gravitation. The course emphasizes problem solving including calculus, and you’ll work on numerous interactive examples.
