Students need a minimum grade of 70% to be eligible to transfer courses from StraighterLine to Western Governors University- College of Health Professions; however, students transferring into the pre-licensure nursing program need a minimum grade of 73% to be eligle to transfer. Please contact WGU Advisors at 1.866.225.5948 for any questions.

The tuition credit is $50 per course for the first four (4) StraighterLine courses transferred upon admission to WGU ($200 maximum). To qualify, courses must be (1) completed before his or her first term of enrollment at WGU and (2) eligible for transfer to WGU. WGU applies the tuition credit to the student's first-term tuition bill at WGU.

Students who have previously taken StraighterLine's PHY251 - General Physics II course may transfer these credits to WGU - College of Health Professions as UBC1 - Introduction to Physics (For Health Informatics program only). Students who have previously taken StraighterLine's PHY251L - General Physics II with Lab course may transfer these credits to WGU - College of Health Professions as UBC1/UBT1 - Introduction to Physics and Lab (For Health Informatics program only).

Once a student establishes AAV (academic activity verification) or confirms which courses they will complete at WGU, WGU is unable to transfer in additional coursework.



WGU does not award transfer credit after the initial term start date. No transfer credit will be awarded once a student has begun studies at WGU.
