Northcentral University applicants generally must have a conferred Associate’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution with a cumulative 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale OR a minimum of 60 credit hours, including 36 hours of general education course credit, from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution with a cumulative 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, however up to 60 credits from StraighterLine will be accepted in lieu of this requirement (each course must be completed with a grade of C or better to be accepted). The 36 credit hours of general education course credit must fulfill the following general education category requirements:
6 credit hours of English Composition (EC)
6 credit hours of Humanities (H)
6 credit hours of Social Sciences (SS)
3 credit hours of Mathematics (M) (college mathematics, college algebra, or above)
6 credit hours of Natural Sciences (NS)
9 credit hours of General Education Electives (EC, H, SS, M, or NS)

StraighterLine credits will be evaluated separately from any credits reviewed for transfer from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution. Credit for each StraighterLine course listed above may be used to fulfill general education credit requirements as indicated, or the open elective credit needed to meet the 60 credit minimum requirement. A maximum of 90 undergraduate credit hours may be transferred to Northcentral University.

Courses in this table can be used to fulfill general education category requirements or open elective requirements. In addition if ECON101 and ECON102 are taken, both courses can be used to fulfill BUS3004-8 Economics. If ECON101 is taken without ECON102, or ECON102 is taken without ECON101, the requirements for BUS3004-8 will not be fulfilled.

Students who have previously taken StraighterLine's PHY251 - General Physics II course may transfer these credits to Northcentral University as Natural Science Elective. Students who have previously taken StraighterLine's PHY251L - General Physics II with Lab course may transfer these credits to Northcentral University as Natural Science Elective.
