Nikki C. Epps is a health science and business adjunct professor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix. She has 3 years of online teaching experience in the areas of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Health Care Administration. She served as a course consultant in Medical Terminology for StraighterLine during the ACE accreditation process. She has worked as a health care management consultant for a local physician’s Internal Medicine/Pediatric practice. She has also worked with college students entering medical school, dental school and graduate school in the health sciences as a coordinator for the MedRep enrichment program at Tulane University. She has done research in the Microanatomy department at Meharry Medical College. While at Meharry Medical College, she was a member and co-chair of Project Save, an AIDS awareness program to educate and prevent the new infections in the community. Recently, she worked as community outreach coordinator and Operations Manager for St. Tammany Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, which provides health care to individuals including low income and the uninsured population. She is a mother of two and a native of New Orleans, La. She currently resides just outside of New Orleans, La.
