Ashford University Application Process
Students who plan to enroll at Ashford University after completing college courses at StraighterLine should apply online.
Ashford University is strongly committed to recognizing students’ prior academic coursework, and will work to understand how all prior coursework can fairly be transferred from StraighterLine to Ashford University by reviewing transcripts in detail. Ashford University has already reviewed StraighterLine’s college courses and approved each for full transfer credit (3 semester credit hours per course). You can see more detail on the Ashford University equivalent for each StraighterLine course under “Earn Credit for StraighterLine Courses at Ashford University”.
The application process is slightly different depending on whether you plan to enroll in Ashford University’s Online or Campus-based programs:
Apply to Ashford University’s Traditional Campus
Applying to Ashford University is quick and simple. Apply whenever you are ready via Ashford University’s free online application.
Campus-based programs run on a semester basis, which means there are two times each year (August and January) during which you can begin your education at Ashford University.
Apply to Ashford University’s Center for External Studies
Students who wish to continue studying online should apply to Ashford University’s Online Program.
Classes run continuously, rather than in semesters. Typically, you take one course at a time and move on to the next course without a break. Opportunities to enroll and begin a course sequence in a degree program are available every week.
After receiving your completed application and other forms, the Ashford University admissions office will contact you to further discuss your enrollment.
When you enroll at Ashford University, just email your StraighterLine course advisor to have your StraighterLine transcript forwarded to Ashford University – it’s that easy!
