Testimonials

But, really, all the old school online university efforts, like University of Phoenix, did was to take the traditional college model and move it online. True disruptive innovation is ... about embracing some spect of that new medium to offer something in a different way that really wasn't possible prior to that. StraighterLine offers online college classes, but it totally disrupts the traditional business model of university learning.

Accreditation

The goal of accreditation is to ensure that the education provided by colleges and universities meets acceptable levels of quality. Accrediting agencies are non-governmental bodies that are funded by the colleges that they evaluate. StraighterLine’s articulation partners are all accredited colleges. To learn more about accreditation, you can go to the Department of Education’s website.

Though accreditors will evaluate colleges, they do not evaluate specific courses. Because StraighterLine offers courses and not degrees accreditors will not review our courses.  This means we have to do other things to demonstrate our course quality. In fact, StraighterLine has done much more than most colleges and universities to demonstrate course quality.

What do I do if my target college only accepts courses from an “accredited college”?
