About American College of Dubai

The American College of Dubai (ACD) is a privately endowed post-secondary institution based in Dubai, UAE. Established under the laws of the UAE and operating with the required UAE Government approvals which include formal accreditation by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as local licensure approval by the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

Established in 1991, ACD is located on a purpose-built campus in the Garhoud area of Dubai, near the Dubai International Airport and opposite the Dubai Festival City. Facilities include lecture halls, a separate library building with study areas, a major computer center and related resource rooms, including a small clinic staffed by a resident nurse. Student-activity area includes outdoor sports facilities such as a football field as well as basketball and volleyball courts. There is also a games hall alongside the cafeteria as well as a dedicated student-activities centre.

The institution offers a complete Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) qualification as well as a university transfer program designed to facilitate transfer abroad for degree completion in a variety of disciplines.

A comprehensive Academic English program is offered for students who require additional preparation before entering a degree course.
