StraighterLine’s Summer Slam: The Best Summer Contest of All

If you’re the kind of person who likes to enter contests, summer must be your favorite time of year. Because every summer, there are tons of them to choose from.

Here are some of your options this year . . .

The International Parachuting Association will hold its annual championships this July in Rio de Janeiro. All you have to do to win is jump out of a plane and hit a target on the ground with your body.

The Slant Awards contest offers prizes to students who design the best public park. That’s a little unusual, right? But bear in mind, it’s a British contest . . .

The Writers Weekly 24-Hour Short Story Contest will be held on July 9th. Five hundred entrants will have one day to write a short story on a topic that will be emailed to them that day.

The CrowdTogether 2011 Bandana Contest
will offer a prize to the person who designs a bandana that will become the official bandana for CrowdTogether, a new social media platform.

The Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held again this year on July 4th. Afterwards, the winner isn’t going to feel so good.

Mitchell Lumber will hold its annual nail driving and log sawing contest at Spring Fair in Brooklin, Ontario, on July 5. Builds calluses and character.

StraighterLine’s Summer Slam Contest offers you the chance to win a new iPad 2 while you are learning and taking college courses online towards your degree. No need to jump out of a plane, eat boardwalk food, design a park or hammer nails. Sounds like the winning contest to us.
